Martina's Story
I have been retired from Montessori for 10 years now. I finally finished my college degree in 1991 with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. I loved working with young children in a Montessori environment; but once I had grandchildren, I wanted to be free to travel to see my grandkids. I now have 3: Michael (1996), Lizzie (1999), Maddie (2003), and one due in Jan 2008. We also have 4 grand-dogs! Denise is married to Doug and living in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Kimberly and Erin are both single and living in the Dallas, TX area. Den and I celebrate 39 years of married life in Aug 2008. I spend most of my time researching Family History. I am "addicted" to Ancestry.com; I share a World Deluxe Membership with sister Gail Marie and a "cousin by marriage"!! I have been to Ireland and Scranton, PA putting the Family Tree together. It's been a spiritual journey as my Dad always said that he had a HUGE IRISH CATHOLIC FAMILY, but he didn't know their names and would never know most of them...but, NOW WE DO!!!
I enjoy driving almost anywhere. (I think I was a truck driver in another lifetime.) With the price of gas, I haven't been going as often. Now that I have "found" my ancestors, I want to return to Crossmolina, County Mayo, Ireland and to Preston, Lancashire Co, England.
